Mincraft

Mincraft at Mokoia

Recently the Students of p2 have started playing Mincraft on there laptops. We have paired ourself's up in little groups and are trying to build a house. This house has to have certain measurements to fit the buyers needs for example: all of the room's have to be 36m2 and the whole has to be 112m2 and we have to make a plan which tells the teacher how big and what each room will look like and who's building what room.

when the student have finished building the houses the class room teacher will inspect each and everyone of the houses and deicide which house she thinks suits her best. There are no rules to what you have to and are not aloud to build so that students can use there imagination and creativity to build what they think will be a perfect home for the teacher and her family.

The reason we are building houses is because our maths topic at the moment is measurement. That is why we have to build a house with cretin measurements so the teacher can see if we have the smarts and skill to build a house with there specific measurements.

Remember that time the whole of Puarenga went into the hall. And we all danced our hearts out for half an hour! And all the kids were laughing because the moves where really weird! do you remember?

Remember that time the whole school caught the bus to the apuatic centre and there were heaps of races (and tarawera won the overall relay!) Do you remember?
